Patel Complaint Triggers Shah Arrest

September 25, 2015 - Iselin (NJ) businessman Nilay D.Shah, 39, has been arrested on charges of stealing over $52,000 from Wyoming motel owner Ramesh Patel.

Patel placed orders for hotel supplies for his motels in Wyoming in January 2014 and made part payments to Nilay Shah's Iselin company d’Hotel Supplies, located on Green St (off Oak Tree Road in Iselin).

A web site associated with Nilay Shah's business d'Hotel Supplies describes it as "a family owned company that has been working in the hospitality industry for many years and is now your single source for all your design and furnishing needs."

Arrested & Extradited
Shah was arrested after Patel complained to the Green River Police Department (WY) that he had not received the merchandise from d'Hotel Supplies.

Media reports say checks written by Ramesh Patel were deposited in a business account controlled by Nilay Shah.

Shah has been charged with two counts of felony theft and extradited to Sweetwater County in Wyoming state.

Shah must be presumed innocent until and unless he's proven guilty in a court of law.
